Congratulations to the students, parents, and teachers for all your hard work and dedication. Mantachie School has received the status as a High Performing School.

 

REMINDER:  Students must sign up by Wednesday of each week to receive a Certificate of Attendance to obtain a permit.  Certificates will be given on Thursdays.  (The law has changed regarding licenses and renewals--no Certificate is required for licenses--only permits.) 

 

The school board policy for absentees as they apply to exemptions has been changed.  All absences used to determine exemption must be excused.  If a student has any unexcused absences in any class, he/she cannot be exempt from that class.  Also, he/she has only two days after the absence to change an unexcused absence to an excused one.  Parental notes can cover a maximum of only four (4) days of absences each semester or only two (2) absences for a nine-week class.

Parking spaces and information packets are available in the MHS office.  Parents must read and sign the parking space application so they will be made aware of changes in parking regulations.  Students are not to sign for the parents.  Thank you!

Parent Note Excuse Form:  Parents may click here to access and print a Parent Note Excuse Form.  Excuses must be presented to the school office within two days of the absence(s) or the absence(s) will be considered Unexcused. 

Active Parent:  The website to register for Active Parent is ms2900.activeparent.net or click HERE.  Click Request Account and go through the steps to set up a parent account.  Once the account is set up, the parent can view grades, assignments, absences, and posted announcements.  The account will be available in 1-3 business days.

Active Student The website to register for Active Student is ms2900.activestudent.net or click HERE.  Click Request Account and go through the steps to set up a student account.  Once the account is set up, the student can view grades, assignments, absences, and posted announcements.  If the account is not available after three or more business days, go back to Active Student and click Reset.

Library Fines and Lunchroom Balances:  Please check and see if your child owes money to the library and lunchroom.  You may pay library fines in the library.  Lunchroom balances may be sent to the lunchroom or paid online by creating an account. To create an account, go to www.itawambacountyschools.com and on the left side of the screen is a tab "mySchoolBucks”.  You may also inquire about lunchroom money owed by calling the cafeteria at 662-282-5737.

Subject Area Testing In preparation for the upcoming State Testing, students currently enrolled in Algebra I, Biology I, English II, and/or U.S. History will participate in a subject area "boot camp" during the week of December 3rd.
