January 2012:You may check grades at www.engrade.com. Check with your child or your child's teacher for access codes. REMINDER: Students must sign up by Wednesday of each week to receive a Certificate of Attendance to obtain a permit. Certificates will be given on Thursdays. (The law has changed regarding licenses and renewals--no Certificate is required for licenses--only permits.) The school board policy for absentees as they apply to exemptions has been changed. Absences used to determine exemption must be excused. If a student has any unexcused absences in any class, he/she cannot be exempt from that class. Also, he/she has only two days after the absence to change an unexcused absence to an excused one. Parental notes can cover only a total of five (5) days of absences each semester. January 16: Martin Luther King Holiday January 12: The ASVAB test for juniors will be given. Twenty tests have been reserved, and will be assigned on a first come/first serve basis.
