School Pictures will be made Wednesday, August 27.
FCA will have its first meeting of the school this Wednesday, August 27, in the gym during High School break. There will be a lot to cover, so get there quickly. See Coach Hamilton if you have any questions.
Anchor Club dues and forms will be due Tuesday, August 26.
There will be a softball game Tues., Aug. 26, at home against Saltillo. JV plays @ 6:00 and Varsity @ 7:00.
There will be a GADD Meeting Monday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 at Kim's Diner.
Anyone interested in joining the Student Council needs to sign up in Dr. Jackson's room. You will have to prepare a speech later. The junior High students who are interested will need to see Mrs. Scribner before school or during break to sign up. The week of Aug. 25-29 will be the only week to sign up.
Meet the Mustangs will be Thursday, August 21, at the football field. There will be a hamburger supper at 5:00 for $5 per plate. There will be a junior high and high school booster club meeting after the supper. Introduction of High School and Junior High football players and cheerleaders, softball team, and band will begin at 7:00.
Football program pictures that are being made Thursday, August 14, are scheduled as follows: Junior High Football--6th Period Senior Football Players and Cheerleaders--7th Period Band--After School High School and Junior High Cheerleader Squads--After School
Mr. and Miss Itawamba Pageant--Saturday, August 16, at 3:00 p.m., at the Fine Arts Auditorium at ICC. The deadline to enter is August 13. For information call 862-3201.
Softball games--Friday and Saturday, August 15-16, in the Nettleton Tournament. Game Times TBA.
Make-Up Softball games Monday at Saltillo--JV @ 5:00, Var. @ 6:00.
In order to acclimate parents and students with Seventh Grade, the school will be conducting a Parent Visitation Night on TUESDAY, AUGUST 5. You will be informed about the changes and expectations that come with being a junior high school student. The schedule is as follows:
6:00--Report to the high school office and pick up your child's schedule. 6:15--Meet as a group in the gym and review the demerit system, grading policy, promotion/retention, cafeteria, etc. 6:30-8:00--Follow the student's schedule to meet with his/her teachers and/or coaches.
In order to help class scheduling go more smoothly, there were set times for students in each grade to pick up schedules during the summer.
