August 2011You may check grades at www.engrade.com. Check with your child or your child's teacher for access codes. REMINDER: Students must sign up by Wednesday of each week to receive a Certificate of Attendance to obtain a permit. Certificates will be given on Thursdays. (The law has changed regarding licenses and renewals--no Certificate is required for licenses--only permits.) The school board policy for absentees as they apply to exemptions has been changed. Absences used to determine exemption must be excused. If a student has any unexcused absences in any class, he/she cannot be exempt from that class. Also, he/she has only two days after the absence to change an unexcused absence to an excused one. Parental notes can cover only five (5) days of absences each semester. First home football game will be Friday, September 2. There will be a Junior Civitan Meeting in Mrs. Plunk's room at break Friday, Sept. 2. Anyone interested in signing up for the Junior Civitan Club needs to see Mrs. Plunk by Friday, September 2. The $15 national dues must be paid by September 9. Anchor Club forms are due by August 31, 2011. There will be a GADD meeting Monday, August 29th at Riley’s Window and Door Showroom at 6:00 p.m. Football Boosters are selling Game Day t-shirts for $12. See below or click here for a larger picture of the shirt. See homeroom teachers for order forms.
