HISTORY:

In 1917, the Smith-Hughes National Vocational Act established vocational agriculture courses.  Smith and Hughes were Georgia Congressmen.

In 1973, official FFA dress standards were created.

Each Fall, the Mantachie FFA conducts their annual sorghum production and sale.

Each spring, the Mantachie FFA conducts their annual Greenhouse Plant  Sale.  They offer a variety of annual flowers and garden plants.

Please click HERE to see the list of available flowers and plants for the Annual FFA Greenhouse Plant Sale.

The FFA barn was destroyed by storms in April 2011.  The pictures below show progress on the new barn's construction.

Congratulations to the MHS FFA for finishing first place in Mississippi and ninth place in the nation in the nationwide contest called FFA Chapter Challenge in 2012. You can view the list of winners here: https://www.ffachapterchallenge.com/winners/

Mantachie FFA has an award winning program and is a valuable asset to our school and town. The students and teachers work hard both in and out of school to represent Mantachie well. Thank you to everyone who voted for our chapter!
