HOMECOMING WEEK:

Monday:  Oldies Day

Tuesday:  Tacky Day

Wednesday:  Cowboy/Western Day

Thursday:  Favorite College Day

Friday:  Spirit Day

The Homecoming Parade will be Friday, October 19.  Line-up will be at 1:45.  The entry fee is $5.00.  See Ms. Connie Sheffield, Porsha Thomas, or Will Knight to sign-up and pay.

The Homecoming Dance will be Friday night from 9:00 p.m.-12:00 midnight in the gym for grades 7-12.  Admission is $3.00 per person or $5.00 per couple.

The 2007 MHS Freshman maid is Brooke Wilson.  She is the daughter of Chris and Rachelle Wilson.  She enjoys singing, fishing, hunting, gymnastics, and basketball.  She is involved in FCA, SADD, Anchor Club, and attends Lakeland Southern Baptist Church. Her future plans are to graduate high school and go to college to major in radiology. 

Our Sophomore maid is Anna Brooke Harkey.  She is the daughter of Mike and Sherry Harkey.  She enjoys cheering, Friday night football games, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends.  She is involved in the Science Club, FCA, and is an active member of Ozark Baptist Church.  She is also a member of the MHS cheerleading squad and the MHS basketball team.  Her future plans are to attend Itawamba Community College and then go to Mississippi State University to pursue a career in elementary education.  

The MHS Junior maid is Samantha Mears.  She is the daughter of Toby and Cindy Mears. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending sporting events, shopping, riding four-wheelers, and going to the movies.  She is involved in Beta Club, Science Club, Math Club, Anchor Club, Career Club, and the SADD Club.  She is the president of the Junior class and is a member of the First Independent Baptist Church.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society.  Her future plans are to attend Itawamba Community College and Mississippi University for Women to pursue a degree in nursing. 

Our Senior maid is Chastity Sheffield.  She is the daughter of Betty Lancaster.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding four-wheelers, volunteering her time, and participating in the color guard.  She is a member of Shiloh Southern Baptist Church, where she enjoys participating in Bible drills.  She is also involved in the MHS Career Club, SADD Club, Beta Club, and Science Club.  She was also accepted into the National Honor Society among American High School Students.  Her future plans are to attend Itawamba Community College, where she wishes to obtain a nursing degree and later go to work for the North Mississippi Medical Center. 

The MHS Football Queen is Layken Farrar.  She is the daughter of Doug and Bridgett Farrar.  She enjoys being an MHS cheerleader, spending time with friends and family, and shopping.  She is involved in the Science Club, Spanish Club, Anchor Club, SADD Club, FCA, and Career Club.  She is a senior class officer and a member of the National Honors Society among American High School Students.  She is a member of the East Mt. Zion Baptist Church and is active in the youth group.  Her future plans are to attend Itawamba Community College to pursue an associate degree and then attend Ole Miss to pursue a bachelor's degree. 

The 2007 MHS Homecoming Queen is Kayla Smith.  She is the daughter of Kenneth and Peggy Smith.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fishing, reading, hunting, and watching movies.  She is involved in the Beta Club, Science Club, Career Club, Student Council, SADD Club, Anchor Club, and Track.  She was accepted into Who's Who among American High School Students and into the National Honors Society among American High School Students.  She is a member of Lakeland Baptist Church.  Her future plans are to attend Itawamba Community College to pursue an associate degree in ultrasound.
