Reminder: Anyone needing a Certificate of Attendance needs to sign up for one in the office by Wednesday of each week. Certificates will be ready on Thursday. There will be a GADD Meeting at Kim's Diner at 6:00 p.m., October 30. This is for parents only! There will be a Junior Class Meeting at 7:00 at Kim's diner for juniors and parents.
Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 27-31: Monday--"Sock it to Drugs" Day. Wear mismatched or weird socks. Tuesday--"Rockin' to a Drug-Free Beat" Day. Wear 50's styles. Wednesday--"Vote for a Drug-Free Life" Day. Wear red, white, & blue. Thursday--"Team up Against Drugs" Day. Wear favorite team apparel. Friday--"Tie One on Against Drugs" Day. Wear a neck tie.

"Books Are Fun" will be in the Library through Monday, October 27.
Congratulations to the following students for advancing to the State Cross Country Meet: Cory Jenkins, Dylan Edmondson, Trae Rodgers, Kristen Hopper, Alle Spradling, Michaela Cooper, & Morgan Beaty. The State XC Meet will be Saturday, Nov. 1, in Clinton.
The Cross Country Division Meet will be Saturday, October 25, at 2:00 in New Albany.
Senior Night will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday, October 24, to recognize the senior football players, cheerleaders, & band members will be recognized before the high school home football game against Belmont. Game time is 7:00.
Meet the Mustangs will be Saturday, October 25, in the gym. Hamburger plates will be available to purchase at $5.00 per plate beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Coach Mike McCarver Memorial Scholarship Fund T-shirts are for sale through October 24. Order forms are available in the office.
Senior Invitations and Caps & Gowns will be ordered on Wed., October 22, at 8:00 a.m., in the Library. Please bring your $80.00 deposit and order form. Class rings can also be ordered on this date.
Report Card pick-up will be Monday, October 20, from 11 a.m., until 7:00 p.m. No school for students!
Any junior interested in taking the PSAT on October 15 needs to see Mr. Credille. There is a $13.00 fee.

2008-2009 Yearbooks will be for sale October 13-17 for $35 each. You may purchase one from any yearbook staff member. You also have the option of ordering a yearbook online at www.jostensyearbooks.com anytime through April 1, 2009.
Make-up pictures for the yearbook will be at 8:00 a.m., on Monday, October 13.
There will be a Parent Night THURSDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 2, at 6:00 p.m., in the Library. This is for parents of current 7th and 8th graders to have an opportunity to view the results of the Mississippi Curriculum Testing (MCT2). Scores and results will be interpreted and discussed.
Junior Civitan dues ($12.00) must be paid by October 1. See Mrs. Plunk or Mrs. Sherry. The club will meet in Mrs. Plunk's room on Wed., Oct. 1.
