On Saturday, February 12, the MHS Powerlifting team traveled to Calhoun City to compete in the Region 1-2A Powerlifting Meet.  The Mustangs finished second in the meet with a score of 54.  All 12 lifters qualified for the North Division meet.  Defending 2A 132 lb. class State Champion Steven Oswalt, and Bradley Starling set division records in their weight class.  Oswalt set 132 lb. weight class records in squat at 400 lbs., deadlift at 430 lbs., and total weight at 1,010 lbs.  Starling set 148 lb. weight class records in squat at 500 lbs., bench at 225 lbs., deadlift at 460 lbs., and total weight at 1,185 lbs.
