Congratulations to Cole Stephens for being selected Woodmen of the World Student of the Month. Congratulations to the students, parents, and teachers for all your hard work and dedication. Mantachie School has received the status as a High Performing School. September 2012REMINDER: Students must sign up by Wednesday of each week to receive a Certificate of Attendance to obtain a permit. Certificates will be given on Thursdays. (The law has changed regarding licenses and renewals--no Certificate is required for licenses--only permits.)
The school board policy for absentees as they apply to exemptions has been changed. All absences used to determine exemption must be excused. If a student has any unexcused absences in any class, he/she cannot be exempt from that class. Also, he/she has only two days after the absence to change an unexcused absence to an excused one. Parental notes can cover a maximum of only four (4) days of absences each semester or only two (2) absences for a nine-week class.
Parking spaces and information packets are available in the MHS office. Parents must read and sign the parking space application so they will be made aware of changes in parking regulations. Students are not to sign for the parents. Thank you! Parent Note Excuse Form: Parents may click here to access and print a Parent Note Excuse Form. Excuses must be presented to the school office within two days of the absence(s) or the absence(s) will be considered Unexcused.
